Purpose of life
Father to son - son you can’t live your life - in my pocket.
Son to father - father that pocket is in - your favourite jacket.
Son said father - is the pocket deep enough.
Father replied son - it is your responsibility - to provide for your son - food: shelter: guidance: understanding: and assistance from the day of my birth - to when your pocket is empty.
The next day there is a new jacket in the wardrobe…
- Life’s Journey: A father’s advice to his son about independence and the importance of providing for oneself.
- Generational Support: The father’s expectation for his son to care for him in his old age, just as he has provided for his son.
- Symbolic Gesture: The father buying a new jacket symbolises the end of an era and the son’s transition to independence.
Someone or something - analyzed my poem.
