The seagull...

Jenna, Jan and Simon witnessed the seagull land.

Look at that bird: said Jenna: it’s just two metres away.

About a metre and a half: said Jan. More like three metres: said Simon.

Jenna saw the bird land on one foot - the left one.

Jan was saw the right foot came down first and then the left one.

Of course.  Simon said it landed on both feet at the same time. 

None-the-less: however sad the seagull looked at them. 

No one tossed the bird a scrap of pie …
